Cravat regimenta

Cravat Regiment is a historical unit of the Croatian Army was established in July 2010 in Zagreb, and was created to commemorate the tradition and Croatian light cavalry on which the first written record dates from the beginning of the Thirty Years' War, in 1619, when the Emperor and Croatian-Hungarian king your good cavalry, on the advice of the Croatian Ban Franjo Batthány, primarily recruited in Croatia and the Military Border. Historically, these light horsemen, armed with short guns, almost always in the imperial commands called "Croats" or "Croatian arkebuzirima." Every year, it would be established for several companies, and later regiments of Croats and Croatian arkebuzira, which have numbered up to 10,000 riders. In Central and Western Europe their name soon became synonymous with the type of light cavalry although except Croats among them several members of other Eastern European nations. Louis XIV. introduces the Croats in his personal escort, a scarf which they wear around their necks accepted as a fashion accessory.
