The city of Zagreb is the
biggest city in Republic of Croatia and the capital.
The Zagreb Cathedral on
Kaptol is a Roman Catholic institution and not only the tallest building in
Croatia, but also the most monumental sacral building in Gothic style southeast
of the Alps. It is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and to kings Saint
Stephen and Saint Ladislaus. The cathedral is typically Gothic.
The building is shaped
like a rectangular tower with a small passage because it was once part of the
defense system of Gradec. Stone Gate is the only defensive gate that has been
preserved until today. In a small passage there is a chapel of Our Lady of the
Stone Gate, the patron of the city. Legend says that in the last fire only
thing preserved was image of Holy Mary with child.
Mandusevac is a fountain on Zagreb’s Central Square of Ban Josip
Jelacic. In the past, it was a natural water source which legends tie to the
founding of the city.
The Lotrščak Tower is a fortified tower located in Zagreb,
Croatia, in an old part of town called Gradec or Gornji grad.

Square Nikola Šubić Zrinski is
a square and park in Donji Grad, the central part of Zagreb, the apital of
